I have been a professional musician for 26 years.
The main fields I have worked in over the past few years are Musical Theatre and Touring shows as Electric and Double Bass, Keys 2 and Electric and Acoustic Guitarist. In the past, I have been involved with the rollout of theatre productions, from initial conception to final show, involving orchestrating music, keyboard and guitar programming and sound design. I also facilitated vocal auditions and rehearsals, as well as the engagement of musicians.
As an educator, and In light of my recent studies in music education and immersion in modern teaching techniques, I have gained valuable insight into various teaching methodologies and concepts that I believe will greatly benefit young musicians. I have also actively observed and critiqued current teaching practices in real-life scenarios, providing me with a deeper understanding of the effective implementation of these methodologies.
I have experience in the professional music industry and am aware of the real-world challenges that musicians face. Like in many industries today, I believe versatility is the key to sustaining a rewarding career in music, as is continuously challenging perceptions within education. Above all, I believe in nurturing creative partnerships.
